I finished Amelia's dress. She wouldn't model it for me, because she is too busy racing around the house with no clothes on. The rest of us are wearing sweaters, but our little wild animal insists that she is not cold...
Here is my little helper feeding lunch to her baby brother. We are working on having him sleep in his bed all night long, and are planning to move Amelia in with him next weekend. I told Amelia, and she said that she would sing to him when he cries, and that she would be his mommy. I asked whose mommy I was going to be, and she told me, "You can be Daddy's mommy."
Amelia and Nana made this beautiful loaf of bread last weekend, the recipe was from The Joy of Cooking. Here is Amelia kneading the dough. Incidentally, I do dress her, but she seems to prefer her jammies -- at about 4 pm she says, "I need to put my jammies on, it is going to get dark out soon."
I have been soooo neglectful, I a going to try to catch up this weekend. Amelia's dress is almost finished, and it is adorable... I am wondering, would anyone buy them? Matt keeps telling me to get a job, but I don't know if I am ready to leave the babies for a whole day at a time. We saw Sophia Thursday, and she is just delicious, so fat and dimply, all chubby smiles, yum! Unfortunately I am a dummy and forgot my camera.
Willy had his six month appointment today, he was 18 lbs 2 oz, which is more than Amelia was at a year. We are working on having him sleep all night in his own bed, so I might be very exhausted for the next few days. He is becoming such a person, he says gu-yah! and dadadada, and loves loves loves his big sis! Not much else, will post pics this weekend!

So it all started when my friend Jamie introduced me to reprodepot.com, which sells all these fabulous fabrics... So then I needed to buy some for the valance... at any rate I am now fabric obsessed, I want more, more, more!!! I got these in the mail today, I think I will use the cakes for a dress for Amelia, and the pink for a skirt, maybe? Oh they are just so yummy. So anyway, then I wondered, what else can I make with fabric? The answer: quilts! So I bought myself a couple birthday gifts, Denyse Schmidt Quilts (she also designs beautiful fabrics), and Make Your Own Contemporary Quilts. They look gorgeous, and I cannot wait to get them. The thing is, I already have quite alot of yarn, and quite a few already begun knitting projects, and at least one sewing project, and there is no question that we don't have space for a whole nother (is that a word?) craft here, what with all the kids and all the kid stuff and the books and the cooking stuff and the this and the that... The people with whom I live (and a certain nana in particular) are going to kill me... I honestly considered booting Amelia out of the playroom, but I guess that would be a selfish mommy thing to do, and anyway I wouldn't get to make my oh so cute valance then, would I?
Who is this, demurely perched on the arm of nana's chair? No, she is not a visitor from Saturn's moon, she is a Babe!! I knitted her from the book Knitted Babes. I am hoping that she looks a little less, well, extraterrestrial, once she gets some hair...
Here are a few pictures of the playroom. I still need to do a few things, such as make a valance, I was thinking about this fabric. I was also thinking about making a playmat, like this.
