Just finished this little backpack for our friend Alexandria's third birthday. I am pleased with it... I also finished the doll, and I think she looks a little less like E.T.
She is all ready to practice her pirouettes in her tutu and wrap sweater. Amelia tells me that her name is Jaws.
I also made the romper that Baby Will is wearing here.
Here are all our babies!! We went to celebrate all our March and April birthdays at John and Karra's house. We've got some good-looking kids, eh? There are some more pictures in the sidebar.
I took a picture of our baby tomato plants. Remember when I said that it was amazing that a big plant would grow from those tiny seeds? Well, I planted ALOT of them, thinking they couldn't possibly ALL sprout. At last count, I had 58 plants, so if anyone would like a cherry tomato plant (or several), let me know!!!
Here is a bag that I sewed from the Denyse Schmidt book. I am going to give it to Janet, but I think I will make another for myself. I have alot of vinyl left -- I told Matt I would make him some vinyl pants. There is also instructions for a little zippered pouch, which I plan to make for myself to corral all my cards -- driver's license, library cards, debit card, etc...
Here is the completed valance for the playroom. It looks cute, and Amelia likes it.
When we went to visit Kate and Sophia last week I found a store called Affordable Fabrics, and bought these for 1.99 a yard. 
Pretty good for some cute vintag-ey fabrics, though I had to buy a yard each... I saw one fabric there at $1.99 and saw it again the next day at Fabric Place for about $9 a yard. I found the Alexander Henry fabric I was looking for:
I am going to use it for something for the kid's room, I am not sure what. Incidentally, we moved them in together yesterday, which went okay, though he woke up at about 2 and didn't want to go back to sleep, so we had to bring Amelia into our bed.
Here is Amelia working on starting some pumpkin and tomato seeds. Maybe it is because it has been awhile since I have planted seeds, but it is still just SO AMAZING that those tiny little tomato seeds will sprout into big plants. I can't wait until they start to sprout, so Amelia can be amazed too.
Well, not the first, but the first by a professional. I finally got fed up by the way it was always in her face, and she didn't keep barettes or ponytails in. I think she looks adorable, though Matt says he liked her hair better when it was longer.
